About The Position

Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items. Serve food and beverages to guests in a punctual, courteous, efficient, and accurate manner. Act as an advocate for the restaurant, create personal guest experiences, and develop relationships with guests that encourage them to return. The role includes supporting teammates, maintaining clean and safe work areas, greeting and attending to guests, taking and processing orders, serving meal accompaniments, maintaining food and beverage knowledge, and helping ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. The position also performs sidework, wine service, station setup and breakdown, table setting and bussing, to-go order support, seating, phone answering, and attendance at required trainings and meetings. Responsibilities may extend beyond those listed as needed.

Requirements

Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications, if applicable.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Ability to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system.
Ability to calculate bills accurately and handle credit cards and money properly.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
High motivation, flexibility, and ability to take initiative.
Flexible schedule and ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support and assist the team while keeping work areas clean, dry, and safe.
Greet and welcome guests and promptly attend to tables.
Receive guest orders and process them quickly and accurately in the POS system.
Prepare and serve meal accompaniments.
Learn and maintain knowledge of food, wine, beverage menus, and general restaurant information.
Help ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience, and relay complaints to management.
Perform sidework.
Open bottled wine for guests.
Set up and break down stations such as deli, dessert, coffee, and espresso stations.
Assist with setting and bussing tables, taking to-go orders, seating guests, and answering phones as needed.
Attend required company and restaurant trainings and meetings.
Maintain communication with support staff and management.
Take on responsibilities outside the job description when needed.
