About The Position

The AM Food Server works part time on the morning shift at The Kelly Birmingham, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. As part of the Food & Beverage team, the server supports the hotel restaurant and outlet services by providing friendly, courteous, and professional guest service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include taking and delivering food and beverage orders, checking on guests, processing checks and payments, maintaining restaurant organization and supplies, monitoring inventory, and keeping restaurant and service workstations clean and functional.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of server experience in a similar role; experience in a similar size of operation is preferred.
• Alcohol Beverage Servers Certification required.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, grasp, lift, carry, and transport 50–75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and move around restaurant and kitchen areas for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver thoughtful, engaged, best-in-class service to guests.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders enthusiastically, revisit tables regularly, refill beverages, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Generate guest checks through the PMS and efficiently receive payments.
• Keep the restaurant organized and replenish condiments and supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and functionality of restaurant and service workstations.
