About The Position

HOKALI is hiring six Algebra Tutors to provide targeted math support and academic guidance to groups of 15–20 students in classroom settings across four middle schools and two high schools. Tutors will help students build confidence and succeed academically by supporting Algebra learning, problem-solving, and homework.

The program runs for 57 sessions from January 12 through May 27, 2027, with one mandatory onsite training session beginning December 7 and three hours of online training to complete before sessions start. The weekly schedule is three days per week between Monday and Thursday, with two hours per site per day. The role is onsite, and compensation is $35 per hour for active program hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong proficiency in middle school and high school Algebra concepts.
• Ability and willingness to attend the mandatory onsite training in December and complete three hours of online training before sessions begin.
• Proven ability to manage and engage groups of 15–20 students.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
