About The Position

HOKALI is seeking six enthusiastic and dedicated Algebra Tutors to provide targeted math support and academic guidance to groups of 15–20 students in a classroom setting. Tutors will support middle and high school students at four middle schools and two high schools, helping them build algebra skills, solve problems, and complete homework. The program includes 57 sessions running from January 12 through May 27, 2027, with one mandatory onsite training session starting December 7 and three hours of online training before sessions begin. The role involves three days per week between Monday and Thursday, with two hours per site per day. The pay rate is $35 per hour based on active program hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong proficiency in middle school and high school Algebra concepts.
• Ability and willingness to attend one mandatory onsite training session in December and complete three hours of online training before sessions begin.
• Proven ability to manage and engage groups of 15–20 students.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities
