About The Position

The Alarm Monitor position provides physical security by monitoring a detection and intrusion monitoring system. Duties also include closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring, dispatch, visitor processing, and administrative services. The position pays $36.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of an Alarm Monitor.
• Maintain a daily duty log.
• Conduct and record various checks and verifications.
• Report suspicious activities and persons.
• Operate intrusion detection and fire alarm systems, radio transmitters and receivers, and telephones.
• Receive incoming fire calls by telephone or through the alarm system.
• Question callers and observe alarm registers.
• Determine the type and number of units to respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Relay messages from emergency scenes, including requests for additional help and medical assistance.
• Record the date, time, and type of call, as well as the destination of messages received or transmitted.
• Maintain activity, code, and locator files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
