Aladdin Senior Business Analyst

Capco is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Blackrock Aladdin Senior Business Analyst Consultant to join their dynamic team. The role involves advising clients on the implementation, optimization, and utilization of the Aladdin investment management platform. The consultant will collaborate with stakeholders, conduct thorough analyses, translate business requirements into technical specifications, and provide ongoing support and guidance. They will also stay updated with industry trends and contribute to the development of consulting methodologies and tools.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements, investment processes, and operational workflows, and provide strategic guidance on leveraging the Aladdin platform to meet their objectives.
• Conduct thorough analyses of client data and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement, and propose tailored solutions using Aladdin's capabilities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to translate business requirements into technical specifications for Aladdin enhancements and configurations.
• Coordinate the workshops between our client and the BRS implementation specialists.
• Lead and document the redesign of investment, reporting, and operational workflows across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and derivatives, with a focus on operational scale and efficiency.
• Participating in Aladdin’s implementation to transform our client's business workflows and reporting across portfolio construction, order management, risk reporting, ESG and performance measurement & attribution.
• Advise clients on best practices for utilizing Aladdin's features and functionalities to streamline investment management processes, enhance risk management capabilities, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance related to Aladdin's functionality.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in investment management technology, particularly Aladdin, and provide thought leadership and insights to clients.
• Contribute to the development of consulting methodologies, tools, and frameworks related to Aladdin implementations and optimizations.
• Coordinating multiple teams involved in the project (Control_M, developers, data providers, software vendors) to ensure smooth implementation.
• Writing functional specifications and coordinating with various stakeholders.
• Conducting functional testing to ensure proper system functionality.
• Writing functional specifications for regulatory topics such as Best Execution, Market Abuse Detection, and Securities under Sanction.
• Managing the backlog of business requests and collaborating with stakeholders to define priorities.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, computer science, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Significant experience as a business analyst or consultant, preferably within a consulting firm, with a focus on investment management and expertise in Aladdin.
• In-depth knowledge of investment management concepts, including portfolio management, risk management, compliance, and performance measurement.
• Proven experience in Aladdin implementations.
