Responsibilities
- Demonstrate practical experience of engineering best practices and continuous improvement
- Have expertise in a set of the team's domains, including services, data flows, and system interactions
- Work alone or with teams to recommend tooling and solutions aligned with organizational strategies
- Influence organization-wide testing strategy
- Architect services and systems using well-accepted design patterns for iterative, autonomous development and future scaling
- Contribute to security designs based on the organization's security strategy and foster a security-first mindset across teams
- Manage engineers to ensure team efficiency and quality of work
- Make valuable contributions to products, solutions, and teams and articulate the value to customers
- Play a role in the delivery of critical business applications, ideally customer-facing applications
- Communicate complex ideas to non-experts effectively
- Stay aware of new technologies in finance and other industries and enjoy experimenting with them
- Have a passion for being part of the engineering team shaping the future of finance
Requirements
- Up to 1-2 years of experience as an Associate engineer
- Strong team player
- Experience in delivering modern, first-class cloud-based platforms
- Proficient in Agile ways of working
- Practical experience of engineering best practices
- Expertise in a set of the team's domains and understanding of data flows between systems
- Ability to work alone or with teams and recommend tooling and solutions
- Knowledge of well-accepted design patterns for services and systems
- Contribution to security designs and fostering a security-first mindset
- Experience in managing engineers and tracking team efficiency and quality of work
- Valuable contributions to products, solutions, and teams
- Involvement in the delivery of critical business applications and customer-facing applications
- Effective communication of complex ideas to non-experts
- Awareness and understanding of new technologies in finance and other industries
- Passion for being part of the engineering team shaping the future of finance
- Degree educated with a classification of 2:1 or above
- Shared passion for engineering and interest in financial services
