About The Position

Aisles Online Shoppers select and fulfill online grocery orders with care and precision, choosing quality products across all departments, including fresh produce and meat. The role supports a positive customer experience through accurate order fulfillment, customer service, and timely pickup preparation. It suits people who enjoy staying active and can work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environment. Shoppers select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones while maintaining proper product temperatures. They store completed orders at the correct temperature, retrieve them before customer arrival, and prepare them for pickup. The role also includes processing customer payments, loading groceries into vehicles, handling substitutions, monitoring incoming orders, and responding to customer inquiries by phone and email. Employees follow company standards and may assist with other tasks or special projects. The role is accountable to the Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, and Health Wellness Home, and the Online Shopping Department Manager. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout the store.
Accurately select high-quality groceries ordered online, including fresh produce, meat, and other products.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
Maintain products at proper temperatures throughout the fulfillment process.
Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Cart orders to the holding area for customer pickup.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Tender customer orders through POS and process credit card payments.
Substitute products upon customer request or when items are unavailable.
Monitor incoming online orders to support prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Answer phones and emails promptly and provide helpful customer service.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks and special projects as needed.
