About The Position

Aisles Online Shoppers fulfill online grocery orders by carefully selecting high-quality products from all store departments. They help ensure orders are accurate, fresh, and maintained at the proper temperature throughout fulfillment. The role also involves providing friendly customer service, communicating with customers, processing payments, and preparing orders for pickup. It is an active, fast-paced position in a retail store setting that requires managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, point-of-sale transactions, and cleaning or sanitation duties.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
Accurately select the highest-quality groceries ordered online, including fresh produce, meat, and other products.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
Maintain products at the proper temperature throughout the fulfillment process.
Store gathered orders at the correct temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Cart orders to and place them in the customer pickup holding area.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Tender customer orders through the point-of-sale system and process credit card payments.
Substitute products at customer request or when items are unavailable.
Monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Answer customer phone calls and emails promptly and provide helpful service.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
