About The Position

Aisles Online Shoppers fulfill online grocery orders by carefully selecting high-quality items across all departments, including fresh produce, meat, and pantry products. They help ensure orders are accurate, properly handled, and ready for customers on time. The role involves working independently in a fast-paced retail store environment, staying active, and providing friendly customer service throughout the fulfillment and pickup process. Shoppers select, scan, and bag products from all temperature zones; maintain appropriate product temperatures; store completed orders at the proper temperature; and retrieve them promptly for customer pickup. They also cart orders to the holding area, load groceries into customer vehicles, process payments through the POS, and make substitutions when requested or when products are unavailable. The position requires monitoring incoming orders, responding to customer phone calls and emails, following company standards, and assisting with other tasks as needed. The role frequently involves standing and walking throughout a shift, as well as repetitive reaching and bending. Work is primarily in a retail store and may involve exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, moving equipment hazards, and electrical equipment. Safety training is provided. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a pre-employment drug screen. The anticipated starting wage is $15.00 to $18.75 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them throughout the store.
Accurately select online grocery orders, choosing high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
Maintain proper product temperatures throughout the fulfillment process.
Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Cart orders to the holding area for customer pickup.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Tender customer orders through the POS and process credit card payments.
Substitute products when requested by customers or when items are unavailable.
Monitor incoming online orders to support prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Answer customer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful service.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
