About The Position

The Aisles Online Shopper selects and fulfills online grocery orders, choosing high-quality products across all store departments and ensuring accuracy, freshness, and appropriate temperature handling. The role supports a positive customer experience through friendly service, order substitutions, timely communication, payment processing, and preparation of orders for pickup. It is an active, fast-paced position performed primarily in a retail store, with deadlines and multiple tasks to manage throughout the shift.

Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, point-of-sale transactions, and cleaning and sanitation duties.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required for employment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
Accurately select the highest-quality groceries ordered online, including fresh produce, meat, and other products.
Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones while maintaining proper product temperatures.
Place completed orders in appropriately temperature-controlled storage and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
Cart orders to and place them in the customer pickup holding area.
Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
Tender customer orders through the point-of-sale system and process credit card payments.
Substitute products upon customer request or when ordered items are unavailable.
Monitor incoming online orders to support prompt, on-time fulfillment.
Answer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
Assist with other tasks or special projects as needed.
