About The Position

The Aisles Online Shopper selects and fulfills grocery orders placed online, choosing high-quality products across all departments and ensuring items are handled and stored at the proper temperatures. The role supports customers throughout the store and during pickup, including processing payments, making substitutions, and providing prompt, friendly assistance by phone and email. It requires staying active, working independently with limited supervision, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs throughout the store.
• Accurately select online grocery orders, choosing high-quality produce, meat, and other fresh products.
• Select, scan, and bag items from all temperature zones.
• Maintain products at the proper temperature throughout the fulfillment process.
• Store gathered orders at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before customer arrival.
• Cart orders to the holding area for customer pickup.
• Lift, carry, and load groceries into customer vehicles.
• Tender customer orders through POS and process credit card payments.
• Substitute products upon customer request or when items are unavailable.
• Monitor incoming online orders to ensure prompt, on-time fulfillment.
• Answer phones and emails promptly and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and department and company guidelines.
• Assist with other tasks or special projects as they arise.
