About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer supporting airport operations at a government location in Honolulu, Hawaii, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide customer service and communication. You will help create a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff while supporting security-related procedures. The role is full-time, scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 PM to 8:00 AM, at a rate of $25.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of airport experience.
Valid driver's license with at least one year of experience holding it.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter.
Monitor assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents.
Support a welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, and staff.
