Airport Security Officer: Part-Time Saturday/Sunday
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Airport Security Officer to support airport operations in Lihue, Hawaii. The officer will help safeguard travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and government representatives by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and assisting people professionally. The role involves carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities, reporting observations, and documenting incidents with computer or tablet tools. The position is part-time and scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Pay is $26.50 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Valid driver's license; the posting lists this as a requirement and states that it is required for driving positions.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a background check, including the DOT Pass and ID office background check.
- Ability to pass a physical and drug screening.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, airport personnel, and government representatives while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, restricted areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor for and report unusual activity, hazards, unattended items, access concerns, and other security-related issues according to established procedures.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Help deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence and checking authorized access points.
- Communicate observations and document incidents and reports using computer or tablet tools.
