About The Position

As an Airport Security Officer in Honolulu, Hawaii, you will support security operations at a government transportation location. You will help safeguard clients and provide a professional, welcoming environment for travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responding to situations, and communicating clearly. The schedule is part-time, Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay rate is $25.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of airport experience.
A valid driver's license with at least one year of experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require a minimum age of 21.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening, including a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following airport and government facility protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminal areas, public spaces, access points, parking facilities, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report access-control concerns.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
