As an unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for travelers, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, document observations using computer or tablet tools, and may assist with tasks requiring lifting over 20 pounds. Requirements

• 18+ Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
• Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, airport personnel, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of airport terminals, public areas, parking facilities, roadways, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions or activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established airport and government facility protocols.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when assigned, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
