About The Position

Hyde Park Hospitality is hiring a part-time Porter to support operations at The Club lounge at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The Porter performs a range of duties to keep lounge storage, kitchen, pantry, beverage, and other areas clean, organized, and stocked. Responsibilities include putting away deliveries, maintaining inventory, rotating and labeling products, completing required logs, and assisting with lounge cleaning and trash removal. The role requires a polished appearance, a courteous and guest-focused demeanor, and the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the scope of the primary job duties.
• Ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in keeping with service standards in a best-in-class environment.
• Ability to stand for the entire scheduled shift.
• Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift of up to ten hours.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Ability to report to work regularly and on time.
• Must pass and obtain a security background check and clearance to work in an airport environment.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor and provide a high level of guest experience.
• Use active listening, communicate information effectively, de-escalate situations professionally, and develop solutions to problems.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize storage areas using the FIFO (first in, first out) method and comply with food-safety and storage requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas.
• Restock beverage stations, pantry, and kitchen to par levels, using a cart to move items from storage to lounge areas.
• Put away deliveries efficiently and in an organized manner using the FIFO method.
• Maintain required log sheets, including receiving and temperature logs.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Label and date products.
• Assist with cleaning all lounge areas.
• Assist with removing trash from the lounge and taking it to designated disposal areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
