Airport Agent - Ramp and Customer Service
About The Position
Envoy Air is hiring Airport Agents for ramp and customer service at Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. This entry-level position offers paid on-the-job training and combines passenger assistance with ramp duties. Customer service work includes greeting passengers, providing check-in and ticketing assistance, using reservation and ticketing software to rebook itineraries, and issuing boarding passes. Ramp duties include lifting bags onto conveyor belts, loading, unloading, and sorting freight, mail, and baggage safely, and transporting bags in company vehicles to support on-time departures and arrivals. The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions. Shifts may vary and can include irregular or extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The pay rate is $15.20.
Requirements
- Must be able to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license, or otherwise maintain the authority and identification necessary to travel for business needs; some license restrictions may prohibit consideration.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience.
- Use reservation and ticketing software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes.
- Interact with customers in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner.
- Lift customers’ bags onto the belt.
- Load, unload, and sort freight, mail, and baggage safely.
- Help achieve on-time departures and arrivals.
- Use company vehicles to transport bags to their destination.
