About The Position

getpress is building an AI-agent platform for the PR industry using technologies including LangGraph, PostgreSQL, and Next.js. The company is evolving from a service company into a service-as-a-software company. Its AI team has established the core architecture, and parts of the PR platform and multi-agent system are already in production. The AI Product Engineer will work with the existing developer to own and further develop the technical foundation.

The role involves full-stack development of a PR platform intended to become the operating system of the agency, as well as building agents and multi-agent orchestration for PR consultants. The engineer will contribute to system architecture, workflows, data models, interfaces, compliance, and technology choices, and will develop relational and vector database architecture. The role is based in Germany and can be performed remotely within Germany or from the Berlin office.

Requirements

• More than 3 years of software development experience.
• At least 1 year of experience developing AI agents and components such as memory, context engineering, retrieval, and orchestration using frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph, or similar.
• Experience with TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, LangGraph, and GitHub.
• Experience developing backend systems with frameworks such as FastAPI, Spring Boot, or NestJS, and languages such as Java, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience with container-based and cloud-native architectures, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS or similar.
• German proficiency at B2 level is sufficient; motivation to reach C1 through a course during the first year is expected if not already at C1.

Nice To Haves

• Confidence with SQL, API design, schema design, and query optimization.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems and understanding model behavior, performance, and limitations.
• Product-engineering experience, including evaluating business and user needs before implementing them technically.
• Experience with event-driven architecture such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with agentic development tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• C1-level German proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop the PR platform through full-stack engineering in quick development cycles and in close contact with users.
• Build AI agents for PR consultants, including self-learning loops and multi-agent orchestration.
• Help shape system architecture, including workflows, data models, interfaces, compliance, and the technology stack.
• Further develop database architecture, including relational and vector databases.
• Work with management, contribute technical expertise, implement ideas, and help define technical standards.
