  • Experience with community-based outreach.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel and make multiple visits in the community.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including negotiation and de-escalation.
  • Excellent case note writing skills, including the ability to produce timely, clear, and detailed documentation in Salesforce.
  • Trauma-informed approach to working with Participants navigating housing transitions; comfort with crisis response and tenancy stabilization in complex situations.
  • Strong critical thinking and independent judgment, organization, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving startup environment with evolving processes.
  • Self-direction, ownership, consistent follow-through, and commitment to high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly phone check-ins to assess how Participants are adjusting, address rent arrears and utility issues, ask about building security and repair or maintenance needs, and discuss communication with Property Providers.
  • Conduct quarterly in-person visits in Participants’ units to review housing concerns and inspect for general maintenance and repair needs.
  • Ask Participants about benefits and employment status during check-ins.
  • Respond to housing and tenant-related emergencies during normal business hours and after hours.
  • Refer Participants to community resources related to financial literacy, mental health, wellness, legal support, and other needs.
  • Contact members of Participants’ support networks, such as Fair Futures Coaches or Preventive Services providers, when needed.
