Aftercare Elementary Assistant
About The Position
Salem Montessori School (SMS) is seeking a Part-time elementary aftercare assistant to join their team. The role involves creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for elementary students at the end of the school day. The assistant will support students through outdoor play, creative projects, homework assistance, and community-building activities, fostering independence, responsibility, and respect. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, value teamwork, and are passionate about creating positive experiences aligned with Montessori principles.
Requirements
- Ages 18 or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willing to be certified
- Must pass a post-offer pre-employment background process including a Basic TB and fingerprint test, and completing an online training program.
