After School Program Leader, Beyond the Bell (5216)

About The Position

The Program Leader, Beyond the Bell, helps provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging after-school environment for TK through 6th grade students. The role involves leading enrichment clubs and hands-on activities, supporting homework, organizing games, and helping children develop skills and meaningful relationships. The position is part-time, seasonal, and grant funded, supporting students during the school year, with possible additional work during school breaks.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
Have experience leading enrichment activities, recreation, academics, sports, arts, or other skill-based programs.
Have strong communication skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build positive, authentic relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
Hold current EMSA First Aid and Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certifications, or be able to obtain the required certifications as a condition of employment.
Complete required health screenings and background clearances before working with participants.

Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and fellow Team Members.
Serve as a positive role model and encourage teamwork, positive behavior, and belonging.
Support safe and effective program operations and the YMCA's commitment to youth development and community well-being.
