About The Position
Seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable team member for an EEC-licensed afterschool program. The program operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM and follows the school-year calendar. The role involves supervising and engaging school-aged children throughout program activities and routines, preparing daily materials, supporting snack time, and working collaboratively with staff and the After School Program Director. Staff must participate in training and orientation before the program begins in August and be available for monthly site-based staff meetings. The stated rate for a Group Leader is $50 per day.

Responsibilities
- Lead and/or supervise children in indoor and outdoor group activities.
- Supervise students throughout the afterschool program, including arrival, transitions, homework, snack, bathroom routines, outdoor play, and dismissal.
- Set up and break down materials each day.
- Assist with snacks.
- Interact with students and build relationships with them.
- Work with the After School Program Director to ensure processes and protocols are followed.
- Work cooperatively with other afterschool staff.
- Participate in staff training and orientation before the program starts in August.
- Be available to participate in monthly site-based staff meetings.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with BRCPS school-day and afterschool policy.
