About The Position

At HOKALI, the platform helps schools book, organize, and manage onsite after-school programs and camps that enrich students’ learning and extracurricular experiences. This role supervises and engages students during after-school enrichment programming, creating safe, engaging, and supportive learning experiences for students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. Educators plan and lead recreational and enrichment activities, support positive social interactions, and manage student behavior using positive reinforcement. Structured lesson plans are provided, with flexibility for educators to bring their own ideas to class. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with specific hours varying based on program needs. Compensation is a competitive hourly rate based on active program hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able and willing to complete 3 hours of online training.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Experience instructing an activity such as music, sports, dance, performing arts, martial arts, languages, wellness, STEM, or after care.
• Relevant activities listed include music theory and vocal training; soccer, basketball, flag football, pickleball, and volleyball; hip hop, breakdance, K Pop, ballet, and jazz funk; theatre and acting, improv, and musical theatre; karate and Jiu Jitsu; Spanish, Mandarin, and French; yoga, meditation, and stretching; robotics, coding, and Lego.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging recreational and enrichment activities.
• Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork.
• Manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize activity materials, and keep spaces clean and safe.
