About The Position

HOKALI simplifies how schools book, organize, and manage after-school programs and camps. Its platform helps schools find and book onsite programs that supplement learning and enrich students’ extracurricular experiences. The After School Program Educator supervises and engages students during after-school enrichment programming, creating safe, engaging, and supportive learning experiences.

The role serves students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade. Educators may lead activities in areas such as music, sports, dance, performing arts, martial arts, languages, wellness, STEM, and after care. Structured lesson plans are provided, while educators may also bring their own ideas.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with specific hours varying according to program needs. Compensation is a competitive hourly rate based on active program hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have the ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience instructing music, including music theory or vocal training.
• Experience instructing sports, including soccer, basketball, flag football, pickleball, or volleyball.
• Experience instructing dance, including hip hop, breakdance, K Pop, ballet, or jazz funk.
• Experience in performing arts, including theatre and acting, improv, or musical theatre.
• Experience instructing martial arts, including karate or Jiu Jitsu.
• Experience teaching languages, including Spanish, Mandarin, or French.
• Experience instructing wellness activities, including yoga, meditation, or stretching.
• Experience teaching STEM activities, including robotics, coding, or Lego.
• Experience in after care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and lead engaging recreational and enrichment activities.
• Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork.
• Manage student behavior effectively using positive reinforcement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records.
• Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping spaces clean and safe.
