About The Position

AlphaBEST is hiring a full-time After-school Program Director/Early Education Professional for its Fairfield-Suisun Schools program in California. The role pays $23 per hour, with pay based on education and experience. The Program Director helps create an engaging environment that encourages children’s curiosity, creativity, discovery, and sense of belonging while supporting and leading program staff. The role includes coordinating student accommodations with school staff, the Area Manager, and parents, and monitoring and reporting students’ progress. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with availability required between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.; actual work schedule and hours depend on attendance. No weekends are required.

Requirements

• A degree is required; no specific degree level is stated.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Help coordinate special accommodation requests for students in collaboration with school staff, the Area Manager, and parents.
• Track and monitor students’ progress while they use special accommodations, and report progress to involved parties.
• Lead a team of professionals to provide high-quality care, learning, and engaging experiences for children.
• Train AlphaBEST staff to nurture children and encourage their sense of wonder.
• Foster positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and schools in a caring, family-oriented environment.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students’ interests and talents.
