About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is hiring an After School Group Leader to support its extended-day program at Caddo Mills ISD in Caddo Mills, Texas. The program offers engaging activities in a fun, safe environment where students can learn and grow beyond the school day. The Group Leader guides students through daily curriculum activities, prioritizes child safety, and helps maintain a clean, organized, inclusive space. The role involves building positive relationships with students, families, teammates, and school staff. The position is part-time, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with no weekends. Pay is $15.00 per hour. AlphaBEST describes the role as an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training, including for those exploring careers in education or leadership.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Must successfully complete a background check as required by the state childcare licensing agency.
Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment.
Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely.
Is flexible, reliable, and ready to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities, including World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts.
Make child safety the top priority and follow applicable procedures.
Keep the space clean and organized.
Help create an environment where children feel supported and included.
Build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff.
