About The Position
Facilitate a one-hour, hands-on science enrichment program for elementary-age children using a pre-set curriculum. Sessions are high-energy and combine entertainment and education, meeting once a week for 8–10 weeks. Mad Science provides training in the curriculum and all program materials. Classes follow the school calendar and are presented year-round. Occasional daytime programming may be available depending on the instructor’s availability. This is part-time work, compensated at $50 per class conducted (also listed as $50.00 per hour).
Requirements
- Some college.
- Availability at least two weekdays after 2 p.m.
- Reliable transportation that is not public transportation or ride share.
- Must undergo fingerprinting for a criminal background check.
- Fun and outgoing personality.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience working with groups of elementary-age children, ages 4–12.
