After Hours RN - Weekend Status
About The Position
The After Hours RN provides care to hospice patients during non-business hours. Duties include triaging patient phone calls and providing skilled nursing interventions and supportive care in patients’ residences during evening and night after-hours duty, in accordance with each patient’s plan of care and needs. The RN supports and follows through with patients’ families during actively dying and death visits for the hospice team. This position has a particular focus on helping with hospice admissions on Saturdays and Sundays. The schedule is every Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with applicable shift differentials. The position is based in the Fargo office and serves surrounding communities.
Requirements
- Minimum of an RN degree.
- Current RN licensure in North Dakota and Minnesota, or willingness to obtain dual licensure.
- Current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Strong clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to problem-solve independently.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Preferred nursing experience, including at least one year of recent hospital, nursing home, or homecare/hospice experience.
Responsibilities
