About The Position

This role provides advanced support for monthly reporting, supplier communication to ensure price accuracy and timely delivery, and assists Specialists with Request for Quote (RFQ) distribution and tracking. The position involves procuring and sourcing parts and services for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) for assigned company locations or product lines, including processing MRO purchase orders. The role also focuses on improving internal processes and documentation for efficiency, collaborating with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve issues, reviewing quotations, evaluating suppliers, and potentially identifying cost savings and negotiating price reductions. General administrative duties for the purchasing group are also included, such as filing, ordering supplies, and coordinating department activities. Additionally, the role assists with contract development and execution with suppliers, and supports value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects.

Requirements

  • Oracle or equivalent experience
  • MS software experience
  • Works well in team setting and with minimum supervision
  • Strong customer service acumen
  • 1–3-year experience in automotive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs more advanced support duties relating to monthly reporting, supplier communication to ensure price accuracy and timely delivery and supports Specialists with Request for Quote (RFQ) distribution and tracking.
  • Assists with procuring and sourcing parts and services for the maintenance, report and operations (MRO) of the company location or product line assigned.
  • Processes MRO purchase orders.
  • Improves internal processes and documentation to build on efficiency of work and team.
  • Works with internal departments and external suppliers in addressing outstanding issues.
  • Reviews quotations and evaluates suppliers for the purpose of making recommendations.
  • May assist in identifying and analyzing cost savings and negotiating price reductions.
  • Conducts general administrative duties for the purchasing group such as filing, ordering supplies and coordinating miscellaneous department activities.
  • Assists with contract development and execution with suppliers.
  • Assists with value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
