About The Position
Purchasing Assistant Store Support Center We are searching for an experienced Purchasing Assistant for our Store Support Center located at 600 Citadel Drive, Commerce, CA, 90040. SUMMARY A Purchasing Assistant supports the department and reports to a buyer. This is an onsite position at our Store Support Center in Commerce, CA.
Requirements
- Requires an associate degree and/or 2 years’ experience in either grocery retail or scan coordinator experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepares purchase orders as needed.
- Assists department with following purchasing procedures, as well as following up on their orders to ensure that deliveries are timely.
- Assists and/or issues purchase order follow-up to ensure on-time deliveries and correct pricing, terms and specifications.
- Updates sales log reports on a daily basis.
- Updates and inputs cost retail prices on a daily basis.
- Extensive follow-up with store directors and vendors on a daily basis.
- Provides strong data entry support/receivers.
- Responsible for meeting daily deadlines.
- Schedules/sets up vendor appointments.
- Provides general support to Buyers.
