About The Position
Connecticut Gastroenterology (CTGI) – Bristol, powered by GI Alliance, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant). The practice is part of a physician-owned and physician-led gastroenterology network that provides organizational and business support so clinicians can focus on patient care in a private-practice setting. The provider delivers scheduled patient services under a physician’s direct supervision and responsibility in hospital and clinic settings. The role includes patient assessment, tentative diagnosis, ordering laboratory tests, and counseling patients and families. The provider also completes continuing education and training required to maintain credentialing at assigned medical facilities. The schedule is flexible according to business needs and operations.
Requirements
- State-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Nice To Haves
- Gastrointestinal experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in hospital and clinic settings.
- Complete patient histories and physical examinations.
- Determine tentative diagnoses and order appropriate laboratory tests.
- Counsel patients and families on health and disease.
- Participate in continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing at assigned medical facilities.
- Work a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
