About The Position

CTGI - Putnam, powered by GI Alliance, is a physician-owned and physician-led gastroenterology practice supported by GI Alliance’s business and organizational infrastructure. This role provides scheduled patient services under a physician’s direct supervision and responsibility in hospital and clinic settings. The position supports patient care through histories and physicals, tentative diagnoses, appropriate laboratory orders, and counseling patients and families. The schedule is flexible according to business needs and operations. The role also includes maintaining credentialing in good standing through required continuing education and training, along with other duties as assigned. All job offers are contingent on successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history check.

Requirements

• State-licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

• Gastrointestinal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of a physician in hospital and clinic settings.
• Complete patient histories and physicals.
• Determine tentative diagnoses and order appropriate laboratory tests.
• Counsel patients and families on health and disease.
• Participate in continuing education, training, and other requirements to remain in good standing for credentialing at assigned medical facilities.
• Work a flexible schedule as dictated by business needs and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
