About The Position

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support its cardiology team in Olympia Fields, Illinois. The role provides outpatient and limited inpatient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions in a high-acuity cardiac care setting, working alongside board-certified cardiologists. The position has a daytime schedule with limited weekends or call and offers opportunities for career growth within a nationally recognized healthcare system.

Requirements

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Illinois.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Cardiology experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in cardiology or internal medicine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and cardiac evaluations.
• Manage chronic cardiac conditions, including CHF, CAD, arrhythmias, and post-MI care.
• Assist with medication management, lifestyle counseling, and patient education.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to monitor and adjust treatment plans.
• Support post-discharge follow-up and transitional care.
