About The Position

CVS Health’s MinuteClinic is hiring a full-time, clinic-based provider to support its Decatur, Georgia clinic. The role offers 30–40 hours per week and requires working every other weekend. The provider delivers in-person primary and family care, with virtual visits conducted from the clinic when onsite patient volume permits and virtual care does not delay or interfere with in-person care. The provider assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages acute and chronic conditions; performs diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treats injuries and illnesses; and coordinates care with other healthcare professionals. The role also includes wellness services, chronic disease management, preventive health screenings, and essential clinic operations. Providers receive clinical and organizational support and are expected to complete charting and follow-up during their scheduled shift. Candidates must meet the applicable education, certification, and licensure requirements for Nurse Practitioners or Physician Associates. The position requires physical presence at the assigned clinic and may require bilingual proficiency depending on market needs. Compensation is listed as $41.85–$90.13 per hour, with eligibility for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program. The full-time position is eligible for benefits, subject to eligibility.

Requirements

For Nurse Practitioners: active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in good standing.
For Nurse Practitioners: master’s degree from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner program and current national board certification through AANP or ANCC.
For Physician Associates: Master of Science in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies, or a health-related master’s degree plus a Bachelor of Science in PA Studies.
For Physician Associates: current NCCPA certification and an active, unrestricted state PA/Physician Associate license, or eligibility to obtain the license upon hire.
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to provide holistic, evidence-based care, including counseling related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
DOT certification exam completed within 30 days of employment.
Ability to pass a respirator FIT test.
Physical presence at the assigned clinic is required.
Ability to perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and to perform Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

One year of Nurse Practitioner experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Prior Physician Associate experience; qualified new graduates may be considered.
Bilingual proficiency may be required depending on market needs.
Experience with the EPIC electronic health record.
Prior MinuteClinic precepting rotation, preferred for candidates with less than one year of provider experience.
Experience conducting patient assessments and exercising sound clinical decision-making in a virtual care environment.
Familiarity with digital health tools and virtual communication technologies.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-based primary and family care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Provide in-person and virtual visits from the clinic to support positive patient health outcomes.
Perform diagnostic testing and preventive counseling; treat injuries and illnesses; and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
Provide wellness services, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings.
Complete clinic operations, including inventory management, clinic opening and closing, patient follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.
Support a safe and efficient care environment through routine examinations and timely patient appointment management.
Complete charting and follow-up during scheduled shifts.
