Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology, Anderson/CHVH
About The Position
Community Health Network is seeking a board-certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join its established cardiology team. The position provides care in Anderson, Indiana, and Indianapolis, Indiana, at Community Hospital Anderson and Community Heart and Vascular Hospital. The cardiology role includes outpatient clinic care, hospital rounding, and oversight of cardiac testing related to electrophysiology. The schedule has Tuesdays off, with work in Anderson on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and hospital rounding at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital on Fridays. The role includes night call every 13 weeks and weekend call every 14 weeks. Epic is the electronic medical record system.
Requirements
- Board-certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Five years of advanced practice provider experience required.
- Recent nursing experience in cardiology or ICU settings.
- Must successfully complete a nationally recognized Advanced Practice Nurse certification examination or have current national certification, and maintain certification on an ongoing basis.
- Must be eligible for prescriptive authority under the criteria of the Indiana State Board of Nursing and maintain eligibility on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care.
- Conduct hospital rounding.
- Oversee cardiac testing related to electrophysiology.
- Participate in night call every 13 weeks: Friday night from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., as scheduled.
- Participate in weekend call every 14 weeks, covering Saturday and Sunday.
