Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology, Anderson/CHVH
About The Position
Community Health Network is seeking a board-certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join an established cardiology team serving Anderson, Indiana, and Community Heart and Vascular Hospital (CHVH) in Indianapolis. The role includes outpatient clinic care, hospital rounding, and oversight of cardiac testing. The employer seeks a highly motivated, experienced advanced practice provider with recent nursing experience in cardiology or an intensive care unit setting. The schedule has Tuesdays off, with work in Anderson on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and hospital rounding at CHVH on Friday. The provider participates in night call once every 13 weeks and weekend call once every 14 weeks. The position uses Epic EMR. The provider must maintain the required national certification and eligibility for prescriptive authority under Indiana State Board of Nursing criteria. Requirements
- Board-certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Five years of advanced practice provider experience.
- Recent nursing experience in cardiology or an ICU setting.
- Successfully complete a nationally recognized Advanced Practice Nurse certification examination or hold current national certification, and maintain certification on an ongoing basis.
- Be eligible for prescriptive authority under Indiana State Board of Nursing criteria and maintain ongoing eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology clinic care.
- Round on hospital patients at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital.
- Oversee cardiac testing.
- Participate in scheduled night and weekend call.
- Maintain national certification and eligibility for prescriptive authority.
