About The Position

Munson Medical Center’s Nursing Early Hire Program allows eligible nursing students to be hired while still in school and begin work in Traverse City, Michigan, after graduation. Selected participants receive $13,500 after accepting an offer and signing an agreement that specifies a two-year work commitment. Participants may choose to work as a graduate nurse after graduation; after passing their boards, they receive an additional $4,500. Award funds may be used at the recipient’s discretion, with no accounting required. Award recipients are placed in full-time positions with employee benefits, and all early-hire nurses participate in the Nursing Residency Program. Requirements

Be a nursing student graduating in an eligible year; the posting lists 2026 and 2028 in one section, and 2025 and 2026 in another.
Apply and be selected through application screening and an interview.
Accept an offer and sign an agreement specifying a two-year work commitment.
Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, unless granted an approved medical or religious exemption.
