About The Position

Obtains accurate demographic, financial, and clinical information and enters it into the computer system to create medical and financial records. Applies financial guidelines to determine and collect patient liability. Registers patients accurately, efficiently, and professionally to maintain database integrity and facilitate claims processing. Applies financial screening guidelines to ensure proper procedures are followed when obtaining upfront collections for the facility. Helps expedite patient flow through prompt and courteous service, completes assigned goals, and performs other duties as assigned, including health screening. The stated shift is 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of business experience.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral English to support productivity and efficiency.
• Write legibly and record information accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform basic math computations.
• Type at least 25 words per minute.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to speak clearly and be understood.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of business experience in a healthcare environment.
• Associate degree or 2 years of college-level courses.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) licensure.
