About The Position

As a staff member providing support expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care and customer service by sharing your talent in your chosen field. Admits patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information; answering questions; providing hospital and hospital services information. Staff will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• One year of experience in a hospital admitting or medical business office.
• Computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients by gathering and recording physician, patient, and payment responsibility information.
• Answer patient questions.
• Provide hospital and hospital services information.
• Practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies.
• Consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.
