Requirements

  • Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills).
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines with the ability to triage admissions calls.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles.
  • Effective understanding of latest technologies and should identify how to apply them in effective admission placements for clients.
  • Must have a diverse referral network to be able to refer clients to appropriate levels of care if deemed not suitable for admission to Pinnacle Peak Recovery.
  • Communicate tactfully and with caring in verbal and in writing with a diverse demographic that may be in crisis and emotionally escalated.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with clinical and medical staff to assure appropriateness of treatment placement.
  • Experience in addictions/substance abuse behavioral health setting answering phones and speaking with persons who are in crisis and seeking help.
  • A solid foundation and belief in 12 Step Recovery practices and principles in addition to counseling and therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to speak in English clearly and precisely, write clearly and professionally.
  • Familiarity with clinical and medical jargon.
  • Proven computer skill with a variety of computer programs for narrative, data entry and extrapolating data.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a wide range of processes and projects in regard to having clients admit to Pinnacle Peak Recovery.
  • Speaking with both the client and the client’s relations who may be involved in the client being placed in treatment.
  • Guiding others in the agency to assist in the admissions process such as Insurance Verification, Medical, Clinical and Intake.
  • Ensuring that data is collected regarding referral source, potential family involvement, potential length of stay for the client including initial discharge planning and financial planning and payments.
  • Being the first point of contact with many potential clients and the main spokesperson for potential clients and their referral source.
  • Overseeing accuracy of the Verification of Benefits for potential clients.
  • Assuring that all inquiries are logged in the agency EMR system noting person, date, referral source and nature of the inquiry.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with all organizations and providing prompt answers to requests in order to determine how to convey concise, clear, and timely selective information.
