About The Position

The Admission Nurse Team Leader supports the Senior Director of Intake Admissions by providing day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight to the field admissions team. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compassionate admissions that align with Calvary Hospice’s philosophy, mission, and regulatory compliance standards. The Team Leader facilitates field supervision, documentation review, education, and professional development for admission nurses to support high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. The position is based with Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home in the Bronx, New York, and requires commuting to patients using a vehicle. The stated hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The annual salary range is $124,800.04 to $149,300.10.

Requirements

Current New York State Registered Nurse license or permit.
At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Valid driver's license.
A vehicle is required to commute to patients.
Ability and attitude consistent with the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital, as required by the job duties and functions.

Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
