About The Position

The Admission Nurse Team Leader supports the Sr. Director of Intake Admissions by providing day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight to the field admissions team. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compassionate admissions aligned with Calvary Hospice’s philosophy, mission, and regulatory compliance standards. The Team Leader facilitates field supervision, documentation review, education, and professional development for admission nurses to support high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home, located in the Bronx, New York, provide palliative care for people with advanced cancer and other terminal illnesses and their families. Services include emotional, spiritual, and physical care, with patients referred from institutions throughout New York City and the tristate area.

Requirements

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license or permit.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Valid driver's license.
• Vehicle required to commute to patients.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Ability and attitude consistent with the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital, as required by the job duties and functions.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.
