Administrator in Training (AIT)

Champion Care•Green Bay, WI

About The Position

Champion Care is hiring an Administrator in Training (AIT) for its Executive Leadership Development Program, which prepares emerging leaders to run skilled nursing facilities. This full-time role is based in the Green Bay area and provides multi-facility field training across facilities serving Green Bay, Antigo, Laona, Oconto, and Suring, including Eastview, Nu Roc, Oconto, and Suring. Regular travel across northeastern and northern Wisconsin is required; travel to Laona and Antigo may involve overnight stays. After licensure, candidates must be willing to relocate anywhere in Wisconsin to be considered for an available permanent Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) opportunity. The program develops business, financial, workforce, executive leadership, healthcare operations, and growth skills. Trainees learn to analyze financial results and operating metrics, manage staffing and labor, coach department leaders, support quality assurance and regulatory readiness, and improve admissions, census, occupancy, and referral development. They learn alongside experienced Nursing Home Administrators and operational leaders while developing the expertise to lead an individual skilled nursing facility. The AIT salary is $70,000 annually. Permanent NHA opportunities generally start at $100,000 or more annually, depending on location, facility size, and responsibilities. Advancement requires successful training, licensure, selection, and an available opportunity; placement and compensation are not guaranteed. Licensed NHAs leading their own facility may qualify for Champion Care's profit-sharing program, subject to its terms; AIT participants are not eligible for profit sharing. Applicants must qualify for the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services NHA licensure pathway, including applicable education and supervised experience requirements.
