Administrator in Training (AIT)

Champion Care•Milwaukee, WI

About The Position

Champion Care’s Administrator in Training (AIT) Executive Leadership Development Program prepares emerging leaders to manage an individual skilled nursing facility. The full-time role provides training across Champion Care facilities serving Milwaukee, Oak Creek, and Muskego, including St. Ann, The Medical Suites at Oak Creek, and Muskego. It is a multi-facility field development position requiring regular travel across the Milwaukee metropolitan area. After licensure, candidates must be willing to relocate anywhere in Wisconsin to be considered for an available permanent Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) opportunity. AITs learn business and financial operations, labor and workforce management, executive leadership, skilled nursing facility operations, quality assurance, survey readiness, regulatory compliance, admissions, census, occupancy, referral development, and business improvement. They learn alongside experienced NHAs and operational leaders while developing the expertise to run a skilled nursing facility. The AIT salary is $70,000 annually. Permanent NHA opportunities generally start at $100,000 or more, depending on location, facility size, and responsibilities. Advancement depends on successful training, licensure, selection, and an available opportunity; placement and compensation are not guaranteed. Profit sharing is available to licensed NHAs leading their own facilities, subject to program terms, but is not available to AIT participants. Applicants must qualify for the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services Nursing Home Administrator licensure pathway, including applicable education and supervised experience requirements. Champion Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
