About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to utilize your skills to help responder and traveler safety. The Administrative Support Specialist will provide high-level administrative and organizational support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. In this role, you will manage routine office tasks, assist with scheduling and coordination, prepare and track documentation, and support internal and external communications in support of the Statewide Traffic Incident Management Services project in Georgia. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position offers flexible work arrangements, but will require some on-site work at one of our client's facilities in metro Atlanta, GA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Outlook/Gmail)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Customer-service mindset and professional demeanor when interacting with staff and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive to changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity of Traffic Incident Management
  • Experience supporting project teams, programs, or events
  • Familiarity with basic bookkeeping, budgeting, or expense management tools
  • Experience with databases, LMSs, or other data management systems
  • Comfort with virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx)
  • Experience creating or updating standard operating procedures or process documentation
  • Background in government, transportation, public safety, or non-profit environments
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments and conference calls
  • Preparing, editing, and formatting documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Organizing and maintaining digital and physical files, records, and databases
  • Assisting with meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, notes, and follow-up action items
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and inquiries; routing requests to the appropriate team members
  • Supporting travel arrangements and logistics (e.g., booking venues, accommodations, and transportation)
  • Assisting with basic accounting and expense tracking (e.g., invoices, receipts, reimbursements)
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external partners on routine administrative tasks
  • Supporting the planning and documentation of events, workshops, and training sessions
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned to support overall team operations
  • Providing support services for the TIME Task Force, HERO, and other project services
