About The Position

Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Administrative Support Technician/PBX Operator for Pain & Spine Specialists of Idaho in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The role courteously answers and routes calls, provides patients and guests with appropriate information, and maintains confidential, professional interactions. The operator also responds to emergency situations according to training and helps keep clinic communications and administrative tasks organized.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification, including defibrillator training, with renewal as required.
• At least 1 year of office, clerical, or customer service experience.
• Experience operating business machines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
• Ability to learn complex phone systems and a hospital information system.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to communicate expertly and appropriately in English with a diverse group of people.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming and outgoing calls on a complex phone system, greet callers appropriately, identify the facility and self, determine callers’ needs, and route calls to the appropriate person or department.
• Answer calls to Pain & Spine Specialists of Idaho professionally and promptly.
• Retrieve messages left overnight or during lunch, return calls as needed, and leave clear, informative voicemail messages.
• Distribute scans and faxes to the appropriate patient chart.
• Communicate general information to personnel, patients, and guests while protecting confidential information.
• Direct patients and guests with appropriate information in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to emergency situations appropriately and according to training.
• Maintain an organized workspace and function effectively during stressful periods or situations.
• Maintain accurate time clock punches in accordance with clinic requirements and hospital policy.
