About The Position

This position is in District 05/Mechanic Shop/Unit 550 Ouachita Parish/ Monroe, LA and serves nine parishes of the Department of Transportation and Development. It reports directly to the Mechanic Supervisor B. This position functions as a Maintenance Clerk in a District wide or Parish wide Maintenance office. The incumbent must be self-motivated and able to perform duties independently with little to no supervision on a regular basis. The incumbent is also expected to exercise a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in determining the approach/action to take in non-routine situations that may arise.

Requirements

  • No experience or training is required.
  • Must be proficiently skilled with working knowledge of SAP- (Plant Maintenance, PTMW, MIGO, FV60, IFCU, IW21- Notification and IW31- Work Order), eProcurement, Agile Assets (LaGOV), and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential files on employees, including personnel, training, small tools, and productivity used for Annual Plannings and Performance Evaluation System.
  • Prepare, enter, and edit Daily Work Reports for Highway Foreman and other maintenance unit staff, which includes information on materials and equipment used, as well as, man hours spent in the Agile Assets, Plant Maintenance, and PTMW systems.
  • Prepare and submit payroll audit package for review and audit by the District Business Office.
  • May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.
