About The Position

The Louisiana Center for Safe Schools strengthens the safety, well-being, and resilience of school communities by coordinating statewide resources, training, and information sharing to build positive school climates and advance best practices in emergency readiness, empowering schools to effectively prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. This role requires an exceptionally detail-oriented, highly organized, and effective communicator. In this role, you will play a vital part by providing comprehensive administrative coordination, managing operational workflows, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. Working under the direction of leadership, you will streamline office processes, oversee fiscal monitoring, and manage schedules and correspondence. You will ultimately serve as a key administrative anchor, facilitating smooth communication between the agency, educational partners, law enforcement, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in administrative services.
  • Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates day-to-day administrative operations and workflows for the Louisiana Center for Safe Schools to ensure efficiency and accountability.
  • Monitors statutory deadlines, state policies, and internal controls to maintain compliance across all office functions.
  • Manages calendars, schedules, and logistical plans for meetings, training sessions, and official program events.
  • Serves as the primary administrative liaison for communications with law enforcement agencies, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Oversees office expenditures, supply orders, and inventory monitoring in accordance with budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares and edits official correspondence, reports, presentations, and digital communications to support program objectives.
