About The Position

This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions Division, classified as an Administrative Associate I. The agency's mission is to provide a solid Human Resource management foundation, responsible oversight, and creative solutions through a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to maximize the potential of its employees. This role is located at 225 Green Street #714, Fayetteville - Cumberland County, with the Department of Environmental Quality.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be fully qualified for the job.
  • Temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receptionist and administrative duties.
  • Perform front desk and office support tasks.
  • Greet and assist visitors and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls and messages appropriately.
  • Explain and interpret program information to clients/customers and staff.
  • Compile, assimilate, and organize printed and electronic information.
  • Convey basic information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups.
  • Present ideas in written form.
  • Utilize office equipment and other technology (software and systems) to meet work needs.
  • Understand basic issues, identify problems and opportunities to determine the appropriate course of action.
